Overview
The South African Qualifications Authority’s (SAQA) vision is to create a world-class NQF that works for the people in South Africa. Its mission is to oversee the further development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and advance its objectives, which contribute to the full development of the lifelong learner and to the social and economic development of the nation at large.
The NQF’s objectives are to: create a single integrated national framework for learning achievements; facilitate access to, and mobility and progression within, education, training and career paths; enhance the quality of education and training; and accelerate the redress of past unfair discrimination in education, training and employment opportunities.
