Overview
The mission of the Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is to provide support to the Judiciary to ensure effective and efficient court administration services.
The mandate of the OCJ is to provide effective administrative and technical support to the Chief Justice as the Head of the Judiciary and as Head of the Constitutional Court as well as to render administrative, operational and governance support to the Judiciary.
The OCJ oversees the following courts and entities: Constitutional Court of South Africa; Supreme Court of Appeal; Competition Appeal Court; Labour and Labour Appeal Court; Land Court; Electoral Court; High Court of South Africa: Eastern Cape Division, Free State Division, Gauteng Division, KwaZulu-Natal Division, Limpopo Division, Mpumalanga Division, Northern Cape Division, North West Division, Western Cape Division; South Africa Judicial Education Institute (SAJEI); and Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
